IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board) is seeking quotes from qualified respondents to provide one CNC Machine.

The anticipated award will be a fixed price contract. IREX reserves the right to withdraw this request for quotation at any time up to award of the contract.

Quotation Requirements

Interested companies must submit a quotation, including a breakdown of costs, which demonstrates the organizations’ capacity to provide one CNC Machine with the following requirements:

• 1300x2500x200mm effective workspace.
• 9.0kw spindle with air cooling, 24000 RPM, with qualitative bearings from EU, US or Japan origin.
• 6 Automatic tool change for 6 tools (including 6 different tools, ER32 collets).
• 11 kw inverter.
• 750W servo motors with drivers, EU, US or Japan origin.
• X, Y, Z Repositioning Accuracy ±0.07-0.1mm.
• Working accuracy ±0.08mm.
• Working speed 0-20m/min.
• Max. Rapid Travel Rate 40m/min.
• Reducers for high precision (EU, US or Japan origin).
• Machine Controller system which supports 4 axes.
• Linear guide, 25mm.
• Qualitative Ball screw for Z axis.
• Automatic lubrification system.
• Limiters, EU, US or Japan origin.
• Elektric installation, must be from a renowned vendor (EU, US or Japan origin).
• T-Slot working table (with vacuum, minimum 6 zones).
• 4th Axis - 300mm diameter radial, mounted in X – Axis (could be mounted in Y – Axis).
• 1.5kw vacuum cleaner with two bags, CE certified.
• Dry running (oil-less) Vacuum pump – High quality (EU, US or Japan origin).
• Electricity: 380V/3PH/50HZ.
• Weight and structure: Should be heavy duty to reduce flex and vibration during work.
• 5 liters of machine oil.

The machine must be placed, assembled, and put into use in the training room at the vocational technical school ‘Lutfi Musiqi’ in Vushtrri.

A site visit to the school is planned on March 26, 2024, at 10:00 am. Please send us an email with a request to participate in the site visit.

All equipment is preferred to have CE Certification or equivalent.

The warranty of the equipment is a minimum of 12 months.

All noted specifications represent the minimum acceptable requirements. Submissions are welcome to provide alternative specifications as long all meet or exceed the above-mentioned requirements.

Quotations must be accompanied by a budget in sufficient detail to determine the price elements and all associated costs and fees and must clearly explain the sourcing of any equipment to be purchased or imported from outside Kosovo, including source nationality and any expected fees related to shipping, handling, and delivery, if applicable or present.

Intent of Submission and Clarification Questions

By March 25, 2024, please email akamberi@irex.org confirming your intent to submit a response to this request and Clarification questions. Only those who inform IREX of their intention to submit a quotation will receive responses to questions.

Quotation Submission

If you are interested in providing this furnishing service, please submit your quotation in hard copy in a separate envelope, one with technical offer and one with financial offer. Please state, for: Private Sector Led Workforce Development Activity in Kosovo. All submissions should reference the following title:

If you decide to submit a quotation, it must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the closing date indicated above. Late submissions will only be considered if in the best interests of the project, and then at IREX’s sole discretion. All quotations and included pricing quotes submitted must be valid for a period of not less than sixty (60) calendar days from the closing date indicated above.

The criteria are listed in descending order starting with the most important factors to be evaluated.

• Delivery time 20%

Evaluation and ranking of quotations will be done by IREX. IREX may at its discretion ask for additional information or perform site visits.
