Sharrcem, a TITAN Group company has an excellent opportunity for a Head of Physical-Mechanical & Concrete Laboratory. The primary scope of this role is to ensure normal work conditions for laboratory technicians. To monitor the efficient operation of laboratory equipment and instruments in order to ensure the achievement of production, customers and company's objectives according to the national and international specifications regarding final product quality with simultaneous observation of safety rules for personnel and machines as well as environmental protection.
Main Responsibilities
- Create safety work conditions in physical-mechanical & concrete laboratory for laboratory technicians.
- Provide all necessary equipment/instruments for respective tests and working tools.
- Monitor efficient operation of laboratory equipment/instruments, according to European Norms to follow step by step working process in physical-mechanical laboratory, according to European Norms to follow at any time tests results and to report in time to department manager
- Manage storage room for all cement samples, according to European Norms.
- Organize the annual plan for servicing and calibration of equipment/instruments to meet all respective requirements of national law to fulfill all obligation/requirements of CE Mark Certification Body to fulfill all obligation/requirements of IMS Certification Body.
- Flexibility of working hours required from time to time.
- Optimize existing laboratory facilities.
- Responsible for achieving results conform to ISO 9001, CE and other management systems, related to the improvement of production process and equipment used for the works in the lab.
- Responsible for reviewing and understanding all of the parameters theoretical production process associated with quality control.
- Ensure that work areas and equipment under their control is safe and without risk to health and safety, and all SWP in place
- Deliver accurate and timely reports about laboratory activity as per instruction of the quality manager.
- Ensure all hazards and incidents are identified, assessed, controlled and reported via the Safety Net reporting process
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or similar in Industrial Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in cement industry or similar facilities is an advantage.
- Proficient planning, organization and time-management abilities
- Proactive attitude toward solving problems.
- Safety-minded and team-oriented attitude.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in Albanian and English (oral and written)
