Scope:
The “Innovation and Training Park (ITP)” project supported by the German Government and implemented through GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in Prizren is seeking to provide child care services within the Park through collaborations with child care service providers. For provision of such services, ITP is interested in initiating collaboration
with local, regional, or international kindergartens who are interested in moving to ITP, or establishing a 2nd branch in ITP for childcare services within the Park. ITP offers this range of modes for cooperation with childcare service providers:
- Collaboration for the establishment of the ITP Child-friendly Room; or
- Collaboration for the establishment of the ITP Child-friendly Room with potential to advance in the establishment of the ITP Kindergarten in the longer-term.
We are open to discussing the options and receiving proposals for each of the modes above. Below can be found the
terms for each mode of cooperation.
1. Collaboration for the establishment of the ITP Child-friendly Room
Through the “Child-friendly Room” service, ITP aims to offer the opportunity to ITP clients to use short- stay childcare service during the period they are occupied at ITP. This service is planned to function temporarily in ITP – for a period of around one (1) year.
The ITP Child-friendly Room is to be offered to these target groups:
- All employees in the Park (around 30 companies, organizations, and institutions);
- Participants of trainings in ITP; and
- Participants of activities and events held at ITP.
Terms:
- The Child-friendly Room is expected to operate upon the clients’ demand received.
- The working hours may include periods during regular working hours (8.00 – 16.00) or periods after the regular working hours (17.00 – 20.00), due to ITP trainings’ schedule. If there is no demand, the room can be left unattended.
- The provider can limit their offering per child to 3 hours per day, if necessary.
- The selected provider is expected to provide one Caretaker for children who is willing to offer childcare services in ITP in a certain schedule. One additional / optional Substitute Caretaker for children is encouraged to be provided.
- The main Caretaker and the Substitute employee (optional) should be registered staff of the kindergarten who will manage the ITP Child-friendly Room.
- For the operation of this service, ITP covers rent costs for the space used by the provider. Additionally, ITP covers costs for the purchase of basic equipment and toys for children in the amount of EUR 2,000. Additionally, the pilot phase may be supported by the GIZ project.
- After a successful cooperation, ITP reserves the possibility of continuing cooperation with the same provider for the establishment of the long-term service of ITP Kindergarten.
2. Collaboration for the establishment of the ITP Child-friendly Room with potentialto advance in the establishment of the ITP Kindergarten in the longer-term.
Through the Kindergarten service, ITP aims to offer regular (full day stay) childcare services to all clients situated within and outside the Park.
Additional terms:
- ITP provides the space / building for the functioning of the kindergarten
- The ITP Kindergarten will be offered as a full-day service.
- The selected provider will join the ITP community as a regular tenant.
- Kindergartens which prove innovative approaches to childcare services in their proposal will be given priority during the selection process.
General notes:
- All Kosovo, regional and international kindergartens are eligible to apply for whichever mode of cooperation proposed.
- The selected provider should be a licensed kindergarten which operates according to all national and local regulations in the respective location.
- The selected provider bears full responsibility for the smooth running of the service during working hours.
- The selected provider is required to submit to ITP a proposal on the operational and financial model of the ITP Child-friendly Room and/or ITP Kindergarten.
- The selected provider is expected to complete all administrative obligations and legal procedures in accordance with all national and local regulations for establishing the ITP Child-friendly Room and / or ITP Kindergarten.
Background information:
Established in 2019, ITP Prizren is currently home to around 30 innovative companies, startups, NGOs, training centers and the University for Business and Technology (UBT) Prizren. To support the growth of this vibrant community, ITP provides tailored services that support development and enhance collaboration between different entities within the Park.
Additionally, with a space of 39 hectares and 4 hectares of green area, ITP is the ideal event location, providing event
venues ranging from Conference Halls, Workshop and Seminar Rooms, Retreat or Recreational Wooden and Stone Houses.
The “Innovation and Training Park Prizren” project is supported by the German and Kosovar governments and is implemented by GIZ Kosovo.
