Activity 1.2: Capacity Development - Online
1. Background
Medica Gjakova is implementing “The era of strong women” project supported by the German Government through GIZ Kosova, which aims to increase the participation of women in the labour market and to promote their economic empowerment. Additionally, it seeks to raise awareness about gender-based discrimination and violence against women
2. Information about the project
The overall goal of the project is to improve livelihood opportunities by enhancing employment opportunities for women survivors (including female family members) of SGBV, marginalised youth and returnees in Western part of Kosovo (Dukagjini region).
The objective is to create employment and self-employment opportunities in the field of tailoring, catering, for women survivors (women family members) of SGBV youth and returnees, by offering vocational trainings and online trainings for social enterprise, marketing, sales and branding, entrepreneurship training, generate incomes through Medica Gjakova shop and related activities.
Our principle is “empower women and leave no one behind”.
Considering the target group needs, the activities will be accompanied by psychosocial and career counselling, medical/gynaecological healthcare services.
Empowerment of women survivors of SGBV or their family members will be addressed in two sectors: (1) enhancing knowledge, skills and supporting the employment in the area of tailoring, catering entrepreneurship and online trainings on Social Enterprises, Marketing, Online Sales and Services and Branding expert/trainer for packaging and branding to provide them with support to find employment and start a business and generate incomes through home production and the shop, offering catering services and fairs; and (2) psycho-social/career counselling and medical care on an individual and/or group level to support their integration into labour market for women’s property right when opening a business or self-employment.
The project contributes to stabilization of the communities in Dukagjini region and a sustainable reintegration of persons returning from a European country or the region.
The direct target group includes 200 women survivors of SGBV and returnees (the group will be mixed SGBV and their family members, returnees and youth, considering ethnic Albanians, RAE and other ethnic groups that are living in this area. The indirect target group includes the families of direct target groups (around 800 persons).
3. Purpose of the Assignment
The service provider is responsible to closely cooperate with Medica Gjakova, in Gjakova, to provide capacity development online trainings for Social Enterprises and Marketing, Online Sales, Services and Branding for women/girls of Medica Gjakova beneficiaries.
Medica Gjakova will ensure that the consulting company has suitable approach because of sensitiveness of the target group.
The service provider will work closely with the Medica Gjakova to conduct the following tasks:
Activity 1: Enhancing knowledge and skills through capacity development trainings for Social Enterprises and Marketing.
Activity 2: Enhancing knowledge and skills through capacity development trainings for Online Sales, Services and Branding.
The consulting company or trainer is assumed to assign to deliver the trainings for up to 25 beneficiaies (grant beneficiaries).
The trainer will work in close coordination and will report to Medica Gjakova.
4. Experience and skills required and deliverables
The local service provider will be responsible for the following deliverables:
- List of trainer or trainers who will deliver the training; The trainer should have experience in working as a trainer, preferably in pre-primary education or early childhood development;
- Training participation log;
- Adapt training materials;
- Adapt and/or develop all forms/templates) related to training;
- Provide training to selected participants;
- Training evaluation forms (originals);
- Schedule
The assignment should be fulfilled during 1 month depending of the need, respectively starting from July 2023. During this period the service provider shall deliver the tasks as outlined above.
- Language
The trainings will be delivered in local languages.
The short progress report should be written in Albanian.
The final report should be written in English.
- Place(s) of Assignment
Online.
- Reporting
- Submit progress and final report as agreed.
- Submit photos during the trainings.
- The reporting and all assessment documents should be conducted in languages mentioned above. Comments and suggestions from the MGJ project teams should be taken into consideration throughout the assignment. Note: the report should include pre- and post– situation of the training, pictures (in line with Medica Gjakova requirements) and other necessary information to prove the progress of the training.
- Final report within 15 days of completion of the assignment, including lessons learned recommendations and conclusions;

Not applicable.
- Other provisions
The payment will be made in two installments.
Note: The total budged cost should not exceed the amount of 1500 euros.
- Request for Information for the offer
- Service Provider shall Submit:
- Proof of service provider`s legal status (registration and/or certification documentation), Company details (name, postal address bank information etc.) and owner’s/executive director identification card.
- Service provider should provide the names of 3 reference clients with whom they have provided a similar work as required by the Medica Gjakova. The Company/NGO should note that References may be contacted by the Medica Gjakova at any time.
- Technical proposal (plan of activities and narrative to justify the choices proposed meet requirements of the TOR)
- CV’s of the team leader and all mentors that will be engaged in delivering the trainings.
Note: Medica Gjakova reserves the right to confirm and propose other mentors accordingly.
- Budget Proposal
The Company/NGO shall submit its offer in English language.
