The Education Officer reports to the Education Specialist for close guidance and supervision.
The Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the education programmes/projects specifically related to Youth Empowered through Inclusive Schools and Societies project. The Education Officer will deliver through the application of theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting technical programme information that will have an impact in empowering children and young men and women with new skills to become positive agents of change who promote tolerance and diversity, foster mutual understanding, and respect, and build social cohesion between and within various communities while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development and formulation of the Education Programme more specifically within the Country Programme.

Education:
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical field.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions.
